Jeffrey Dai

Jeffrey started learning the violin at the age of 5 and throughout the course of his life, completing all the Violin ABRSM exams by 2018. Throughout his musical journey he has been taught by violinist Yidee Goh who passed on valuable skills and techniques that have shaped the musician he is today. Jeffrey performed in ensembles, orchestras and at music eisteddfods, winning several gold awards at KBB music festivals.

Jeffrey is a patient yet determined person who would do his best to make sure that his students improve but also have fun at the same time. He believes that playing the violin should always be comfortable and enjoyable; focusing on the music rather than what the hands are doing. Music connects the soul to the instrument and audience, expressing one's feelings and emotions through a crafted sound. Jeffrey thinks that first learning the basics and developing the right habits are the foundation to progress toward manipulating the sound to evoke a sense of feeling and expression.
